The Panthers Cross Country team had some highs and some lows during their showing at the Marcus I Invitational on Sep. 1.

The varsity boys team took thirty-fifth in the 5,000 meters open, while the varsity girls dazzled with a first-place finish in the 3,200 meters run.

Senior G’daiya Hall finished with a 13:51 time for the Lady Panthers, she was followed by — Jenna Leonard with a 14:53 time, Kate Carson with a 15:00 time, Margie Carson with a 15:23 time, Morgan Burton with a 16:27 time, Alli Cholette with a 18:26, and Alexis Sevarino with a 18:40 time.

Junior Bryce Sevarino lead the Panthers with an 18:52 finishing time — Blake Hyatt came next with a 20:04 time, Ashton Dennis had a 20:20 finish, Jordan Caldwell finished with a 20:30 time, Cade Milroy with a 21:30 time, Sergio Castillo with a 21:31 time, Andrew Tarlton with a 22:00 time, Jordan Green with a 22:55 time, and David Yeager with a 23:30 time.

The Panthers will be running again at the Wylie Invitational at Audubon Park in Garland on Sep. 14.
