VAN ALSTYNE — Led by the scoring of Samuel Tormos, the Panthers cruised to a smooth 70-44 victory against Legacy Christian in their first non-conference game of the season on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Tormos would finish the game with 23 total points, 7 of which came from the free throw line. His performance was followed by Noah Boling, who threw up 22 total points, 6 of which came from behind the 3 point line.

The Panthers shot their way into an early 22-14 lead in the first quarter which set the tone for the rest of the game, where they led and outscored Legacy Christian in every quarter of the competition.

With a hot start, coach Russell Best and the Panthers hope to keep the momentum going at home against Sherman in another non-conference match up on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
