The Howe Lady Bulldogs were blanked in pool play at the Denison Tournament last week, losing all three matches.

In pool play, Tioga won in two sets, 25-17 and 25-14, while Pottsboro lost the opening set then finished with 25-21 and 25-14 wins. North Lamar swept the Lady Bulldogs, 25-7 and 25-12, while Dodd City beat the Lady Bulldogs in three sets on August 19.

Returning to Denison for bracket play on Saturday, Howe lost its first match to Trenton before putting it together for wins over Tom Bean and S&S.

The Lady Bulldogs will play in the Whitesboro tournament Aug. 25 and 27. They are in a pool with Gunter, Collinsville and Blue Ridge.

Denison 3, Howe 0

The Denison Lady Yellowjackets swept the match with Howe on their home court Tuesday night.

Denison outscored the Lady Bulldogs 25-12, 25-13 and 25-12.

Howe is playing in the Whitesboro tournament over the weekend with pool play on Thursday and brackets on Saturday.

The next home match for Howe will be Aug. 30 as Valley View pays a visit.
