Two matches and a tournament are on the schedule for Howe volleyball next week.
The Lady Bulldogs will become road warriors as they travel to Dodd City on Friday and then to Denison the following Tuesday. On Aug. 25 and 27 Howe will play in the Whitesboro tournament, opening with a 3 p.m. match against Blue Ridge. Gunter and Collinsville are also in the Howe pool and the Lady Bulldogs will play them later that evening.
Bracket play will be conducted on the Aug. 27.
Dodd City, led by Fallon Hilliard's 18 kills got a 3-1 win over Collinsville to open the season. Lindsay Carter had 15 kills and Hilliard chipped in eight as Dodd city bumped its season record to 7-2 with the 3-1 win over Saint Jo on August 16.
Van Alstyne has a pair of home matches, taking on Wolfe City on the Friday and the annual battle with Anna on the following Tuesday.
Wolfe city started the season with a 2-1 record after a pair of wins over Leonard.The Lady Wolves beat Texoma Christian School, 3-1 on Aug. 16. The Lady Coyotes started out 1-2 with a win over Valley View and losses to Pilot Point and Holliday. They beat Howe 3-0 at Anna on Aug. 11 and on Aug. 16 traveled to Bells, notching a 3-2 win.
