The Panther varsity field event participants competed in the district finals for field events, the top four finishers of any field event will advance to the area meet in Van Alstyne next week.


The Lady Panthers found plenty of success in their finals events — for Shot Put, Riley Reese will be advancing for the Panthers after a 29’-7” performance on her best distance, Addy Roddy will be advancing in Discus for the Panthers with a 77’-2” distance


There will be two Lady Panthers advancing to Area in triple jump — Sydney Ingram and Hannah Hemphill who jumped 33’-2” and 33’-3 3/4” respectively.


Emme Fernandez and Sara Fernandez will be moving on to area in Pole Vault with 7’-6” and 8’-6” bests respectively, wrapping things up for the advancing Lady Panthers.


The boys will have three participants advancing for Discus — Clayton Simpson, Jacob Taylor and Jake Loganbill who had a collective best of 96’-10” to advance to the Area meet.


Another trio of Panthers will be advancing in Triple Jump — Jacob Taylor with a 40’-3 1/2” best, Samuel Tormos with a 39’-10 1/2” best, and Gavin Montgomery with a 39’-2 3/4” best.


Dylan Porter will be advancing in High Jump with a 5’-6” best


And finally, Austin Moore will be advancing in Pole Vault.


The Area meet will be held on Thursday, Apr. 18.
