The Lady Panthers varsity softball squad dominated the Leonard Lady Tigers in a stunning, 18-3, victory in their district 10-3A ballgame.

The Lady Panthers started the scoring in the bottom of the first — scoring off of seven straight walks given up by the struggling Leonard starter, as well as a slew of wild pitches. When it was all said and done, the Lady Panthers took a 4-0 lead to start the ballgame.

Van Alstyne scored four more runs in the bottom of the second, three runs came from a costly error by Leonard and another coming off a bloop RBI single by Coree Beresford to make it an 8-0 Lady Panther lead.

The Lady Panthers put the nail in the coffin in the bottom of the fourth — picking up four straight walks that led to two runs being scored, an RBI single by K Adams brought in another Lady Panther, Jenna Williams cleaned up the bases with a three-RBI triple into deep right field to make it 14-3 Lady Panthers. Another walk, two wild pitches, and an RBI groundout ended the incredible eighteen run output for the Lady Panthers, as well as the ballgame.
