Teachers new to the Van Alstyne school district met on Aug. 12 for a morning of greetings and much-welcome information. VAISD Superintendent Dr. John Spies and Assistant Superintendent Dr. David Brown led the meeting as the district prepares to welcome children back to school on Monday, Aug. 22.
