FARMERSVILLE — The Van Alstyne Panthers won the District 10-3A track meet and the Lady Panthers were the runner-up on the girls side on Wednesday, April 11, at Farmersville.


The Howe Lady Panthers were fourth and the Bulldogs were sixth in also sending athletes to the District 9/10-3A meet. The top four finishers in each event advanced.


Van Alstyne piled up 184 points to win the crown, ahead of Commerce (131) and Lone Oak (91).


Samuel Tormos won the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.19 seconds and Cam Montgomery was the district runner-up in 52.14 seconds. Justin Keathly was fifth at 55.74 seconds.


Dylan Porter was the district champion in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.02 seconds and George Hall was the runner-up in 16.17 seconds. Aaron Palacio was fifth in 17.72 seconds.


Hall was the district champion in the 300 hurdles with a time of 42.24 seconds, Dre Davis was fifth at 44.70 seconds and Porter was sixth in 45.21 seconds.


Hall also was the district champion in the high jump by clearing six feet, three inches and earned the title on misses against Commerce’s Casey Shields.


Rhett Gallagher was the district champion in the long jump at 20 feet, eight inches. Ty Cosper was sixth at 18 feet, 10 and three quarters inches. Hall was ninth at 18 feet, one inch.


Jackson Rogers was the district champion in the triple jump by clearing 41 feet, eight and a half inches. Gallagher was third at 39 feet, 11 inches.


The 1,600 relay of Hall, Montgomery, Jake Carroll and Tormos won the district title in 3:29.41.


Bryce Sevarino was second in the 3,200 with a time of 10:39.75 and third in the 1,600 with a time of 5:09.15.


The 400 relay of Gallagher, Austin Moore, Cosper and Carroll was the district runner-up in 44.66 seconds.


The 800 relay of Cosper, Moore, Porter and Carroll was third with a time of 1:34.29.


Gallagher took third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.63 seconds.


Cosper was third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.04 seconds and Gallagher was fourth in 24.65 seconds.


Zane Madison was third in the shot put with a toss of 43 feet, nine inches. Cayson Miller was fifth at 40 feet, seven and a half inches and Jake Loganbill was 13th at 30 feet, two and a half inches.


Keathly was fourth in the 800 meter run at 2:20.12 and Elias Mosby was seventh in 2:24.99.


Moore was fourth in the pole vault after clearing 11 feet, six inches. JP Cason was seventh by clearing 10 feet.


Loganbill was 11th in the discus with a throw of 87 feet, four inches.


The Bulldogs earned 40 points for their sixth-place finish.


Zimry Weatherspoon was the district runner-up in the pole vault by clearing 12 feet and was short of the title on misses against Lone Oak’s James Whitehead.


Hunter Cheatham was third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 53.59 seconds.


Chase Clayton was third in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.29 seconds and Colton Thurman was sixth at 18.26 seconds.


Ty Harvey was fourth in the high jump by clearing six feet, one inch.


Cade Courtney was fourth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.67 seconds. Joseph Brennan was sixth at 11.79 seconds and Mason Riggs placed eighth in 11.80 seconds.


The 800 relay of Courtney, Aruto Lowder, Kyler Anderson and Caden Harmon finished fifth in 1:35.88.


The 1,600 relay of Cheatham, Aiden Norton, Ryan Carney and Lowder was fifth in 3:54.17.


Jake Fabaucher was sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:24.39.


Logan Elvington was sixth in the 3,200 with a time of 12:26.56 and eighth in the 1,600 with a time of 5:52.31.


Colby Lappin was 12th in the discus with a throw of 82 feet, three inches.


Devin Porter was 11th in the shot put with a throw of 33 feet, 11 inches.


Jordan Jones was 14th in the long jump at 15 feet, 11 and three quarters inches. Austin Lee was 16th at 13 feet, six inches.


On the girls side, the Lady Panthers were the runner-up with 126 points, behind the 205 scored by Leonard. Farmersville was third at 102 points.


Sydney Ingram was the district champion in both hurdles races. She won the 100 hurdles in 15.93 seconds and capture the 300 hurdles in 48.53 seconds. Sara Fernandez was third in the 300 hurdles in 49.67 seconds.


Ingram was also third in the long jump by clearing 16 feet, 10 inches.


Riley Reese was the district champion in the shot put with a toss of 34 feet, 10 inches. Gwen Tyson was 13th at 24 feet, one inch and Gen Tyson was 14th at 23 feet, 10 and a half inches.


Alyssa Hill was the district champion in the discus with a throw of 100 feet, two inches. Jodi Cook was third at 89 feet, nine inches and Gwen Tyson was 14th at 63 feet, three inches.


Emma Morgan was the district runner-up in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:31.66. She was also fourth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:05.80.


The 800 relay of Ingram, Torin Riddick, Alyssa Taylor and Alyssa Hill was the district runner-up in 1:50.52.


Jenna Leinart was the district runner-up in the 3,200 with a time of 12:48.39 and third in the 1,600 with a time of 5:54.70.


G’Daya Hall was fourth in the 800 at 2:32.55 and Kate Carson was fifth in 2:35.29.


The 1,600 relay of Fernandez, Carson, Hall and Morgan was fourth with a time of 4:23.57.


Fernandez was fourth in the pole vault by clearing eight feet.


The 400 relay of Leinart, Riddick, Taylor and Hill was fifth in a time of 53.31 seconds.


Ingram was fifth in the high jump at four feet, 10 inches, missing regionals on a tie-breaker. Hill was seventh at four feet, six inches.


Hill was seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 29.96 seconds and Riddick was eighth in 30.13 seconds.


Riddick was 11th in the long jump at 13 feet, eight inches and Taylor was 15th at 12 feet, four and a half inches.


Leinart was also 11th in the triple jump by clearing 26 feet, 10 inches.


Howe was fourth with 80 points.


Erin Blackburn was the district runner-up in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.90 seconds. Kasie Segleski was seventh in 13.77 seconds.


Marissa Agee was the district runner-up in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:03.49.


Masters was the district runner-up in the 300 hurdles with a time of 48.87 seconds. Mattie Martin was eighth in 53.36 seconds. Masters also was the runner-up in the triple jump at 34 feet, one inch.


Ally Harvey was the district runner-up in the high jump by clearing five feet. She got second on a tie-breaker against Leonard’s Kelcie Simmons.


The 1,600 relay of Jamie Taylor, Segleski, Agee and Masters was the district runner-up with a time of 4:19.13.


The 400 relay of Taylor, Calley Vick, Blackburn and Segleski was third with a time of 52.37 seconds.


Martin was fourth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.99 seconds.


Taylor was fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.30 seconds.


Kristian Sutherlan was fourth in the 1,600 with a time of 6:01.86.


The 800 relay team of Blackburn, Vick, Taylor Hartsfield and Agee was seventh in 1:55.32.


Blackburn was seventh in the long jump at 15 feet, three and a half inches and Harvey was eighth at 14 feet, seven and a half inches.


Blackburn was also seventh in the triple jump at 29 feet, eight and three quarter inches.


Madison Mosier was eighth in the discus with a throw of 78 feet, three inches, Kalen Klein was ninth at 73 feet, 11 inches and Carson Fleming was 11th at 73 feet, two inches.


Mosier was ninth in the shot put with a throw of 26 feet, 10 inches and Klein was 10th at 26 feet, five inches.
