SUNNYVALE — The Lady Panthers suffered their first loss on the road Tuesday, Nov. 21 against 5-0 Sunnyvale. Two high scoring quarters would be the difference as Sunnyvale cruised to a 64-33 victory.
Van Alstyne’s Emma Donald put together an impressive game with 12 points — making three out of six shots from the three.
Scoring was sparse for the Panthers against the Sunnyvale defense. Van Alstyne would turn the ball over a total of 29 times, many of which ended with Sunnyvale points on the board. The Lady Panthers completed 9 out of the 37 attempts free-throw attempts and 5 out of the 17 threes attempted.
The lose has been the biggest test this Lady Panthers team has faced so far during this young season, but they hope to rebound and get a win at home in a non-conference matchup against Campbell on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
