BELLS — The Lady Bulldogs hit the road last week to participate in the Bells Tournament from Thursday, Nov. 16 to Saturday, Nov. 18.

The Tournament started off strong, with the Lady Bulldogs pulling a victory over the Decatur Lady Eagles (2-2) by a single point with a final score of 34-33.

The girls next defeated the Aubrey Lady Chaparrals (4-2) on Thursday, resulting in a 47-35 victory for Howe. This was followed by a game against Bells on Friday. The final score of 48-35 cemented another victory for the Lady Bulldogs that put them in the running for the Championship game.

However, the Lady Bulldogs ultimately fell on Saturday in the Championship game against Leonard, narrowly missing the win by a single point. The final score, 49-48, left the Leonard Lady Tigers (6-1) the Bells Tournamnet victors, while the Lady Bulldogs took home the silver with a second place finish.

Next up for coach Derek Lands and the Lady Bulldogs is a home game against the Muenster Lady Hornets (5-1) on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Tip off begins at 7 p.m.

Make it a Bulldog double-feature by catching both teams in action, as the boys basketball team will start their season the same night, also taking on Muenster in a home non-conference game on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Tip off starts at 8:30.
