HOWE — Though the Howe boys basketball team were originally set to hit the court on Tuesday, Nov. 28 after the Lady Bulldogs, the season opener was delayed due to Muenster continuing their football run in the playoffs. The Lady Bulldogs were the sole attraction of the night as they took on the Muenster Lady Hornets for a 52-46 victory in non-conference play.

The Lady Bulldogs put on an impressive performance, with Peyton Streetman leading the charge for the Lady Bulldogs with an incredible 29 total points for the night. This offensive performance kept Muenster constantly trying to chip away at the commanding Howe lead.

The game was a back and forth battle during the first quarter, with Howe ending it with 10 points and Muenster narrowly trailing with 9 on the board.

It was all Howe from there, as the Lady Bulldogs went on to outscore the Lady Hornets in the next two quarters, making Muenster’s strong comeback push in the fourth a hill too difficult to climb.

The Lady Bulldogs hope to continue their success against the Princeton Panthers in a home non-conference game on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Tip off starts at 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile the boys look to finally open their season in a much-anticipated return to the court.
