The Van Alstyne track program continued its winning streak as both the boys and girls’ team finished first at S&S High School on March 30.

Lady Panther freshman Sydney Ingram won four individual events, adding 40 points to the teams’ 159 total.

Ingram was first in the long jump and triple jump. She also won both hurdle races on the card.

Senior Hannah Taylor won her third consecutive 3200-meter race and sophomore Rylee Reese finished first in the shot put.

Senior De’Angelo Alexander won three events and scored 38 points in individual events as the Panthers outpointed Pottsboro, 239-111 to finish first in the team race.

Senior Levi Jones had two wins, the long jump and 400 meter run, while sophomore George Hall added first place medals in the 100 meters and 300-meter hurdles.

Freshman Bryce Sevarino finished first in the 3200-meter run.

Senior Jacob Taylor came in first in the 1600-meters and Sevarino was second.

After a final tuneup on April 6 in Farmersville, the Van Alstyne track teams will participate in the District 10-3A meet back in Farmersville on April 12 and 13.
