Howe 15, Farmersville 0 (4)
The Lady Bulldogs got off work early on Tuesday night with a 15-0, run-rule win over the visiting Lady Farmers, improving to 4-1 in district play.
The hosts pounded out 14 hits and took advantage of four Farmersville errors to get the run away win. Senior Emily Sanders and junior Torrey Stubblefield each hit home runs and Stubblefield, along with junior Erin Blackburn, had three RBI.
Leading 5-0 heading into the third inning, the Lady Bulldogs blew the game open with a seven-run inning. Senior Madee Mullins had a leadoff single, followed by a single by senior Dani Ross Both runners advanced on a passed ball and Mullins scored on a single by senior Kamryn Fulenchek.
With two out, Blackburn singled, driving in Ross, and Fulenchek scored on a hit by junior Peyton Streetman. Blackburn scored on an error that allowed senior Madisyn Hargrove to reach and, with two on, Stubblefield went yard to drive in three. Howe added three runs in the fourth to earn the early release. Sanders’ home run shot brought home two of those runs.
Howe will travel to Van Alstyne tonight to take on the Lady Panthers.
