Van Alstyne coach Tim Bryant had nine healthy players available to him on Friday night in the Lady Panthers’ home game against S&S.

He got the chance to rotate them freely in a 62-15 win over the Lady Rams for Van Alstyne’s second win of the season.

Senior guard Madison Reno was on fire in the first half, sending in four shots from beyond the arc, making good on an old-school, three-point play and getting a steal near midcourt, then racing in for the easy deuce.

Reno had 17 points in the opening half, but was scoreless in the second.

She had six steals and seven rebounds in the contest.

No Reno, no problem as junior Treylee Neill and sophomore Maegan Thomas stepped in to take the scoring job.

Neill finished with 15 points, 13 of those coming in the second half.

Thomas finished with 14 points and eight rebounds for the night.

Sophomore post Rylee Reece had eight boards as well.

Freshman guard Alexia Smith had three steals, but her active hands disrupted the visitor’s offense all night.

The Lady Panthers are playing in the Ponder Lady Lion Tournament this weekend.
