Van Alstyne junior Emma Moreno was a second-team pick on the 2013-14 District 12-2A All-district basketball team. Moreno was the Lady Panthers’ leading scorer this season with 197 points.
Honorable Mention awards were given to Maddie Horn, Ashley Burts and Carleigh Simmons.
Academic All-District recognition went to; Moreno, Horn, Burts, Andrea Espitia, Hannah Fernandez, Allison Hensley, Bryanna Hernandez, Molly Mayes, Raigan Servati and Hannah Smith.
