Van Alstyne police reported nine incidents and 207 calls for service over the latest seven-day reporting period.

VAPD officers made two driving while intoxicated arrests over that time frame. The first occurred on June 25 at approximately 7:32 p.m. as police responded to a call regarding erratic driving on N. Main and Cooper. There, police spotted 42-year-old Legigh Griffin, of Anna, driving erratically and made the traffic stop. She was arrested on a misdemeanor B DWI charge.

On June 30, police made the second DWI arrest off of a traffic stop at approximately 2:30 a.m. Stephen Moore, 28, of Seagoville, was arrested on a misdemeanor B charge.

On July 1, at 7:06 p.m. in the 900 block of W. Van Alstyne Pkwy., police arrested Rodrick Jackson, 23, of Van Alstyne, for driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana under two ounces. Both charges are misdemeanor B offenses.
