As part of the United Methodist Action Reach-Out Mission by Youth (UMARMY) organization, First United Methodist VA youth completed a mission trip to Borger. The crew of 39 youth and 16 adult leaders left Van Alstyne on June 21 and returned home the following Saturday.

The work this group completed was impressive, a list of which includes:

1-set of handrails 5-fence posts set 1-back yard weeded by hand 1-small tree removed… 1-wheelchair ramp repaired Built 1set of steps with hand rails Put down outdoor carpet on a ramp and stairs Rebuilt 4x8 porch Garage painted and new trim 4 houses painted Metal roof foamed to keep birds out 84 LF of wheelchair ramp built

On the final night of the mission, the kids invited the "clients" they worked for back to the church for a meal and fellowship.
