Mariachis brought their energetic music into Arroyo’s Restaurant last week, while the Arroro’s staff worked to keep drink glasses and chip baskets fresh and full and serving up a variety of dinner plates.
It was the occasion of Arroyo’s Restaurant’s ribbon cutting, held last week at their location, 166 N. Main, in the downtown area. Efraim Arroyo, owner, has locations in Pottsboro and Sherman as well, and brought his full, varied menu to this new location.
Five musicians, together making up the Mariachi Aguilas de American band, played continuously, taking time out only when Efraim Arroyo cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of the restaurant.
The Van Alstyne Chamber of Commerce coordinated the ribbon cutting, with several board members present to help and to enjoy the festivities. There were numerous restaurant patrons along with city officials, family, and friends support of the occasion.
