1. Texas Mosaic Adult Workshop: Color Me Mine of Frisco, 3401 Preston Road, # 10, Frisco, is having its Texas Mosaic Adult workshop from 6-9 p.m. Friday. 2. NDSU Pep Fest: Doors open at 6 p.m. for the NSDU pep fest. There will be a special performance by Blind Joe of NBC’s “The Voice.” North Dakota State University fans be ready for the 7:30 p.m. Friday event at Dr Pepper Arena, 2601 Ave. Of The Stars, Frisco. Tickets are already on sale. This event coincides with the FCS championship game to be held the next day.
3. FCS Championship: The NCAA Division I Football Championship returns to Toyota Stadium for an 8th consecutive season. Last year, James Madison earned a 28-14 victory over Youngstown State. The Dukes, who finished the season 14-1 and undefeated against FCS foes, held the Penguins to just 21 rushing yards. This year’s event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at FC Dallas Stadium, 9200 World Cup Way, Frisco.
4. Fishing with a Ranger: Join the Ray Roberts Lake State Park Isle du Bois for fishing with a ranger from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the park located at 100 PW 4137 Pilot Point. Rainbow trout will be stocked at the kid fish pond located just a short hike from the Bluestem Grove Campground. Rangers will be present to provide instruction. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles and bait. There will be a limited set of fishing poles to borrow so first come, first serve. For more information, call 940-686-2148.
