A fire destroyed a home in Van Alstyne on Tuesday night. Van Alstyne Fire Chief Ryan Dockery said they received a call about a fire on December 12.
“The Fire Department received a call at approximately 9:20 p.m. in regards to a fire on 121,” Dockery said. “When we arrived on scene, the house was fully involved.”
Dockery said the residents were home, but everyon was able to evacuate safely. The house, located in the 15000 block of 121, is a complete loss.
“It is nothing but rubble,” Dockery said.
Investigators said the fire was most likely caused by an electrical issue, KXII reported.
