Schallert Elementary celebrated Constitution Week the week of Sept. 17 through 23. During the week students learned facts about the United States Constitution through lessons that included books, magazines, videos and reference materials.

Students in each grade level composed individual works from drawing and coloring pictures in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten to complex essays in third and fourth grades.

The students were asked to include aspects from the Constitution in their drawings and essays. The completed works were then put on display for parents and relatives to see in a Gallery Walk on Friday, Sept. 22.

Students and parents were also able to get a cup of ice cream to enjoy during the visit. Schallert Elementary is committed to involving the community and plans many opportunities for its parents and guardians to come to the school and be involved in their child’s education.
