The gazebo in downtown Van Alstyne, built in the 1990s, recently received some much-needed repairs. Public Works Director Steve White said that it was sub-contracted out for the repairs. Accomplished was the removal of the old wooden safety rails around it, some of which had broken out, and replaced with wrought iron railing. There are new light fixtures completely across the gazebo roof, a new door to the storage area and a paint job that kept the original ambiance but in more brilliant colors.
