The Van Alstyne City Council meeting held on Tuesday, Sept. 12 led to a bit of controvery between citzens and the board over plans for the Shared Use Path. The main issue of the meeting revolved around the fact that community members were not provided with what they believed to be adequate notice that Phase II of the Shared Use Path had changed. This led to some residents feeling as though the project was moving forward without their consent.

This issue will be discussed at the special called City Council meeting on Monday, Sept. 25 at 6:30 p.m. im the Community Center. Citizens should feel welcome to come and respectfully share their opinions with Council members.
