When you were younger, you probably remember at some point, having your life all planned out. You knew where you wanted to attend college, what you wanted to do in life as a career and what age you wanted to be when you were to get married and start a family.

Now that you are older, how many of you know that most of the time, things don’t always go as planned? Life tends to throw us some curveballs and surprises along the way.

It sure is easy to get off track in life, and it seems to me when that happens, it sure seems harder to get things straightened back out. Life is so full of us having to make one decision after another, and some decisions become life decisions, and those are extremely hard.

All of a sudden, because of decisions we made, or we felt we had to make, our perfect planned life has to take a detour or two, and we find ourselves off the path we originally wanted for ourselves. As time has gone by, it may seem to get back on track is impossible.

Some people feel because they’ve made some wrong decisions in life, that things are too far gone; it’s too late for them, and they’ll never get back to where they should be.

The good news is that with God, it is never too late for anything. The bible says that with God, all things are possible! In the book of Proverbs, His word tells us that the Lord directs and determines our steps. {Proverbs 16:9 and Proverbs 20:24}

The world will tell you that it is too late for you and your life is over. But God promises us that He will come and meet us where we are; He will pick us up, dust us off and place our feet on solid ground.

A really great thing about our Lord; He never breaks a promise.

When Peter asked Jesus if he could get out of the boat and come to Him, walking on water, Peter walked for a few steps, but when he took his eyes off of Christ, he began to sink. That’s exactly what some of us have done — we have taken our eyes off Jesus and we’ve tried to walk on our own. We cannot walk on our own. We must have the guidance, strength, grace, and forgiveness of Jesus to walk our path.

So, when Peter began to sink and go under the water, he cried out to Jesus and what did Jesus do?

Jesus reached down and he extended his hand and picked Peter up!

That is exactly what Jesus will do for you! Just call out to Him. He will come where you are and He will pick you up. Jesus can change your life story beginning today.

It’s never too late with God.

You know, God appoints when we are born and He knows when we will pass away; but there is one thing that we have complete authority and power over… We have complete authority and power where we decide to spend eternity; where our final destination will be.

God has given us the power to make that choice.

So no matter where you are right now, no matter what it is you have been doing or what is going on in your life…. Take a moment to stop and look up!

If life is messed up right now, call out to Jesus and He will extend his hand and pick you up right from where you are. If you ask Him to, He will completely forgive you for your past, no matter how bad it is and He will make all things new.

A new day! A new you! A new destination!

Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth. Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

In other words, God is saying, “Forget about the past, I have a completely new life for you. Just trust in me. I will make a way where there seems to be no way out.”

Start new with Jesus. He is waiting for you to call out to Him.

Do something to make a difference in someone’s life today.
