A Van Alstyne woman was indicted this week on charges associated with a wreck that happened in that city in October.

Lesa Mayberry, 53, was indicted on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of assault of an emergency service personnel. The indictments are formal charges and are not an indication of guilt.

The indictments stem from a wreck that happened at around 10:40 p.m. on October 18 when police say Mayberry drove her Toyota Camry northbound on the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 75 near Farm to Market Road 121.

Mayberry’s vehicle hit three southbound vehicles. Two people in the first vehicle were transported to Texoma Medical Center where they were treated and released.

Mayberry was taken to the hospital as well and was later released.
