SHERMAN — Home Hospice of Grayson and Fannin Counties is excited to announce the return of our bereavement support group starting on Tuesday, June 6. The group will be held from 10:00am-11:00am and will run for six weeks. Each week the group will be discussing topics such as “getting through firsts” and “finding a new normal.” The group will meet at the Home Hospice office located at 505 W. Center Street in Sherman.
This bereavement support group will be held on Tuesday mornings, June 6, 13, 20, 27 and July 11 and 18. Those attending often find they help each other navigate through grief issues and provide support in a safe and understanding environment.
“I am so glad I came — it has helped me in ways I would never have imagined,” said group member Susan Ripley. “Experiencing grief after loss is a normal part of life” said Leslie Broughton, Home Hospice Social Worker. “It can become overwhelming, affecting us both physically and emotionally. There is no quick fix for our grief but sharing your journey with others who have experienced the loss of a loved one, can make it easier. Come and join us - you can attend all sessions or just one if you choose.”
To register for the support group, please contact Melinda Kyle at 903-868-9315. For information on individual counseling, contact Leslie Broughton at 903-868-9315.
