Grayson County public school teachers for kindergarten through 12th grades can now apply for the 2018 Mini-Grants for Teachers program sponsored by Ruiz 4 Kids. The deadline for application submission is June 15, 2017.

The grant awards range from $300 to $1,000. Teachers interested in submitting a grant request are reminded to ensure their intended projects are creative and will enhance their students’ learning experience. Grant recipients are also expected to report on the expenditure of grant funds and the results of the supported project at the end of the funded school year. Additional information on grant criteria, including how to apply and funding priorities, are available at www.ruiz4kids.org/mini-grants.aspx and then clicking on the Teacher Grant link.

“Investing in the education of our children is investing in our future,” Ruiz 4 Kids Denison Ambassador Rebeckah Flanagan said in a statement. “We understand that the needs of the teachers to provide a quality education should not weigh on just the budgets of the school districts, but come from all available resources. That is why we created the mini-grant program. Our goal is to help teachers grow the creative side of education and show their students there is more to learning than sitting in a classroom.”
