Van Alstyne Elementary held their book fair last month in the VAES library. The Scholastic book fair is an opportunity for students, parents and teachers to have access to buy new books without having to leave the school. Teachers had “wish lists” that were posted so that parents could contribute to each class’s own library.

In the week leading up to the book fair, the second grade had a bookmark sale during each lunch period. All of the money they raised went towards purchasing new books for their classrooms.

During the week, the book fair moved to the Middle School to allow VAMS students the opportunity to browse the book selection.
