Ricky Lyn Rollins


ANNA — Ricky Lyn Rollins, age 61, of Anna, TX passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Medical City of Plano, TX. Rick was born on April 17, 1956 in Sherman, TX the son of Suetta Rollins and the late Robell Rollins. Rick was happily married to Brenda Rollins for 31 years and they had one child, son Nathan Rollins. Rick is the son in law of late Marie Kinser. He has one brother, Robbie “Bo” Rollins and wife Nancy, two sisters, Cindy Kelley of San Angelo and Tamra Flesher of McKinney, sister in law, Connie Blake and the late Col. Ron Blake of San Antonio, brother in law Kenneth Kinser of Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.


Rick spent most of his career driving a truck. He loved his job, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Rick was a great father, husband, brother and friend to many. He grew up and remained in Anna his entire life where he was known as “Rick, Pickle and Bulldog”. Rick loved football, basketball, FFA and watching a good John Wayne movie. Rick was a lifelong member of Anna United Methodist Church. Rick will be missed dearly but his family and friends hold on to great memories of him.


Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne, TX. Burial followed at the Coffman Cemetery in Anna, TX.


The family received friends on Friday, November 24th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Scoggins Funeral Home.
